Helping Firefighters During Unforeseen Circumstances
In particular, the Foundation shall provide to San Antonio firefighters and others not necessarily associated with the Foundation (firefighters from other cities coming to San Antonio for medical attention, for example) who, because of unforeseen circumstances (such as a cancer diagnosis, other diseases, debilitating injury on the job, etc.), need assistance.
Our Mission
Through community involvement, the Foundation will provide a receptacle for supporters with like-minded goals. The Foundation will extend beyond fraternal membership in support of the community we serve and prove a positive image of firefighters.
"Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends." -- John 15:13

To make any other expenditures deemed expedient by the Foundation Board, but limiting expenditures, which will benefit the entire San Antonio Fire Department and its image. Each such expenditure should be considered separate and on its own merit by the Foundation Board members.
How We Help
To provide research material, access to materials, access to administrative paperwork, and knowledge to help fill out said paperwork necessary for response to cancer diagnosis. The Foundation will provide research information and access to information only; the afflicted firefighter and family will make their own medical decisions. The Foundation only provides information, not medical counsel.
In times of need, you call on a firefighter. In a firefighter's time of need, we call on each other. Responders First Foundation will be there when a firefighter is in need.
Thank You for your support!
